Frequently Asked Questions *
I am interested in starting therapy, How do I set up an appointment?
Please email to set up a discovery call to see if we are a good fit. The discovery call is 15 minutes and it’s free of charge. Have to be residing in Washington.
Do you take insurance?
See the insurance page for the insurances I do take and out-of-network benefits and the calculator. If I am out of network with insurance, I can provide super-bills for reimbursement.
Questions to ask your insurance for Out of Network:
I encourage you to call your insurance carrier to verify out-of-network coverage. Here are some questions you can ask:
Does my plan cover out-of-network providers?
Do my benefits cover telehealth/online therapy services?
Does my deductible apply to mental health counseling? If so, what is my out-of-network deductible and have I met it yet this year?
Do I have a restricted number of visits per year for mental health counseling? If yes, how many visits?
Will you cover services by an associate-level clinician?
What is the out-of-network reimbursement rate for the CPT code 90837?
Do you provide Sliding Scale?
Yes, I offer limited sliding scales & have the sliding scale metric to see what range you can pay in. This is for folks who don’t have insurance or don’t want to utilize insurance.
Do you see clients in person or via telehealth?
I am only telehealth in the State of Washington at the moment.
What are your fees?
Please refer to the services tab here.
How frequently will we meet?
I only see clients every week right now. I find that meeting every other week is not as helpful when we are building trust and momentum.
What clients don't work best for my practice?
Clients who want a quick fix, people who want a solutions-oriented approach, and clients who are seeking purely cognitive therapy (working on your thoughts) or purely talk therapy (focusing on cathartic venting). I don't do family therapy and work with people under age 18.
